The Team

WHO ARE THE JAGBOTS 4638

The Jagbots 4638 robotics team is a dedicated group of high school students who are passionate about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). In preparation for the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), the team spends countless hours designing, building, and testing a robot that will compete in a series of challenging events.

To prepare for the FRC competition, the team members work together to conceptualize and develop a robot that meets the specific requirements of the competition. They use a variety of engineering and design tools, such as computer-aided design (CAD) software, to create detailed plans and specifications for their robot.

In addition to building the robot, the team also prepares for the competition by practicing driving and control techniques, testing and debugging the robot, and participating in mock competitions to gain experience. The team also works on developing its marketing and outreach efforts, building partnerships with local businesses and organizations to secure funding and resources for their team.

HISTORY OF JAGBOTS 4638

The Jagbots was created in the late 2012, by Mr. Garrant, who loved to move towards new ideas and create new projects. After getting a few people together, the team began to take shape to compete in Ultimate Ascent in 2013.

The team continued to grow throughout the years and was able to participate in the Aerial Assist in 2014, Recycle Rush in 2015, Stronghold in 2016, Steamworks in 2017, Power Up in 2018, Destination: Deep Space in 2019, Infinite Recharge in 2020-2021, Rapid React in 2022, and most recent Charged Up in 2023.

The team was later handed over to the leadership of Michael Ames, Greg Vogl, and Paul Schrantz. Thanks to these mentors, the team continues to bring together students throughout the school to compete in several competitions throughout the year.
